1. Introduction & Overview

My Baby Math ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at mybabymath.com (the "Site"). We provide free pregnancy calculators and related informational content.

We take privacy seriously for all visitors, and we take it especially seriously for users of health-related tools. Pregnancy is a personal and sensitive experience, and we designed this Site from the ground up so that your health-related inputs stay on your device — always.

The short version: we do not collect, store, or transmit any health information you enter into our calculators. The longer version is below. Please read it — it is written in plain English, not legalese.

2. Information We Collect

We collect a very limited set of anonymous data through third-party analytics and advertising services:

Google Analytics (Anonymous Traffic Data)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use our Site in the aggregate. Google Analytics may collect:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • The website or source that referred you to us (e.g., a search engine)
  • General geographic region (country and approximate region, not precise location)
  • Device type (desktop, tablet, or mobile) and browser type
  • Whether you are a new or returning visitor

This data is anonymized and aggregated. Google Analytics does not identify you personally, and we do not configure it to do so. Your IP address is anonymized before it is transmitted to Google.

Google AdSense (Advertising Cookies)

We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. Google's advertising cookies operate under Google's own privacy policy (see Section 8).

What We Do NOT Collect From Calculators

We do not collect any information you enter into our calculators. Dates, cycle lengths, IVF transfer dates, and all other inputs you provide are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. This data is never sent to our servers, never logged, and never stored anywhere.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

To be unambiguous, we do not collect:

  • Your name — we have no registration or account system.
  • Your email address — unless you voluntarily email us (see Contact).
  • Health data — no calculator inputs, health conditions, due dates, or personal medical information.
  • Precise location data — we do not use GPS or precise geolocation.
  • Financial information — we do not accept payments.
  • Social media profile data — we do not offer social login.
  • Children's data — our site is not directed at users under 13.

4. How We Use Information

The limited anonymous analytics data we receive through Google Analytics is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Understanding site usage: Which tools are most useful to visitors, which pages have high exit rates, and how traffic flows through the site.
  • Improving our tools: Identifying pages that are slow to load or have high error rates so we can fix them.
  • Planning new content: Understanding which pregnancy topics visitors are searching for, so we can build useful new tools.

We do not sell this data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use it to build profiles of individuals.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use cookies in the following limited ways:

Google Analytics Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies (including _ga, _ga_XXXXXXXXXX) to distinguish visitors and track sessions. These cookies expire after 2 years (for _ga) or at the end of a session. They do not contain health information.

Google AdSense Cookies

Google AdSense may set cookies to show you relevant advertisements. These cookies are governed by Google's policies. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings or through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

How to Manage Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR (EU/EEA Users)

  • Right to object: You may object to our processing of your data.
  • Right to restrict processing: You may request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate data.

Because we do not collect personal health data or require account creation, we hold virtually no personal data about you. Any analytics data we receive through Google Analytics is anonymous and not linked to your identity. To exercise your rights or make a request, please contact us at hello@mybabymath.com.

Our legal basis for processing anonymous analytics data is our legitimate interest in improving our free public service.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at hello@mybabymath.com and we will take prompt steps to delete such information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

We will never materially weaken your privacy protections without clear notice.
